Would this fabric work as curtains in my room?

I just painted my room dark purple, I was looking for a fabric with a floral or nature feel.

This is from a haunted house collection by Moda, but it is trees.. what would it look like as 80 inch curtains? I think it would flow nicely and goes with my color scheme. But does it really make a difference that it is supposed to be haunted trees!? I like the fabric but not sure if it will look good please help!

It is a warm tone, maybe i will keep looking. I was also thinking of a green accent. Maybe a floral with green leaves will help bring that in. I have lots of black white and silver.

i really like it, but the one reservation i have is that your room will be too dark.
I also have a deep purple room, but i have broken up the colour with cream wall also. dark colours tend to make rooms look smaller and also is the tone of purple in your room is the same as that fabric, then you also have chosen quite a cold colour, mine is a warmer plum purple!
also if the room matches too much it can look quite boring, its good to have other colour (accent colour), i have a few bits of green in my room, it helps break up the strong colour and looks really nice!

this may help you decide what accent colours to add!

Decorate your surroundings to please yourself, not a bunch of strangers.

Hey Camee,

As an advice columnist for one of South Jersey’s largest fabric stores, I receive questions like these all the time from our customers. And while a part of my job is to offer suggestions based on the fashion textile industry’s perspective, I agree with Saaanen that at the end of the day, it really comes down to what your spirit resonates with. That being said, here are some cotton novelty prints from our store that might fit what you are looking for in color and/or design, as well as an array of prints and color palates that could accent your dark purple canvas. Keep in mind that like Ellabomb mentioned, the darker the color scheme, the smaller your room will appear. Don’t be afraid to add contrasting colors to spice up your space, reflect your personal taste, and the light shine in!
