I need a colour that will match dark purple?

I really need some help choosing a colour for my bedroom walls. I have dark purple voile curtains and a dark purple bedspread and would like a colour that would match the two of them. I don’t want a colour that would make my room look too girly or young, I would like a more elegant/stylish look. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I’ve often seen a golden yellow used to compliment dark purple.

Cream would look good…Not too beige but but its not too white if you get what i mean..

also I think a lovely lilac would go but i’m more leaning to wards the cream/whitish colour..

hope ive helped!

a warm taupe, like putty, or peanut butter color. It’ll really warm things up in there. If you want real color, yo can go with a muted shade of green, like mauve… green is purple’s compliment color

Black and dark purple do go really nicely together tho i doubt you want to paint your room black as it will make it seem smaller. But maybe some black accent pieces.

Maybe a pale turquoisey colour. The purple will warm the room and it’ll make it look really spacious. (My room works with that colour scheme and I love it.)

Well, my first suggestion is black. Its classic, chic, hip, and goes with almost anything. If it’s too dark for you, the key is RICH colors. Maybe a deep burgundy or dark blue too contrast. Or if you want something brighter, gold or silver would work. My suggestion is to go with rich cool jewel tones. But, I don’t really know the mood you want. Hope you find the color that works for you. :)

maybe some bold navy blue, or a sage green and add white so it doesnt look so masculine

Try a dark Mauve–or maybe a lite blue–they both work well with purple–green does also–.Happy decorating.

Pink color will go with dark purple or lemony yellow (dark or light shade). Then again, Cerise will look great with purple. Or even, *Olive green color look awesome. Lavender blush or lavender gray.

Well, I gave you too many choice, but I would go with Olive green or lavender blush, they are just perfect to refresh your mind everytime you enter your room.

There is nothing like girlie or young, the bedroom should be always making you feel good and happy. It should have capability to overcome you from hectic and tiresome day of working, thats it…

Sage green will look very elegant. Buy an area rug with both colors in it to pull your look together. Pick an accent color, like a pale pink or blood red. Buy toss pillows, accessories, candles and maybe a throw in your accent color. I promise it will look amazing, stylish, elegant and unique.
