what does it mean when curtains are ’sold individually’?

I am looking to buy some curtains and I found a really cute one, but they are a bit expensive, so I want to make sure I am buying both panels. It says ’sold individually’. Does that mean that the price is for only one panel?

What kind of curtains/panels, or window treatment would look best?

This is dark wood trim. I already have burgundy/red panels in the main room and hate to copy it again. If you can’t see the walls, they are a neutral, almost gray. I’m afraid some darker colors are going to make the room look TOO dark.. any suggestions??

is it ok to use the same style of curtain but 2 different colors in my living room?
