what color duvet and curtains would go best with a brown bedroom set and a brown zebra rug?

i’m getting a brown bedroom suite and am considering also getting a zebra rug with brown stripes. i am stuck on what color duvet/sheets and curtains would go best. my bedroom walls and carpet are a cream color…thanks for your help!!

I would say the best color to match brown would be white or off-white. A light cream color or beige color would look nice as well. Keep the colors very soft and light.

Baby blues might look nice as well!

I agree that you should buy a white duvet cover and pillowcases – white with a woven stripe would look great as it would add some definition against the zebra stripe. You then have a blank canvas on which to put a lovely bright coloured throw and cushions – these could be a deep hot pink or duck egg blue, adding black and giolden beige would give a classy look. Green would give it a freshness. if you buy cushions and throws and do not like them you can always take them back. Teal also works well with browns and creams – just don’t be afraid to try.

The best thing to do is to get you basics in place – the furniture, duvet cover and rug and sit in the room to see what you think it needs.
